Time goes so fast. I’ve been NY already 8
month. I miss my parents. ;(
I was born in 1988 in Jeju Island. My parents are
still living in beautiful Island but I moved out to Seoul because of
university. Hum. I got used to live alone. What an independent woman! Ha-ha.
My father is a dentist. I have a great regard for him.
He provides a valuable community service with my mother such as a free medical
examination. My mom is pharmacist. They met in medical services club to do
volunteering when they were in university. That is so nice, isn’t it? My mother
works in hospital. My brother and I was young, she had own pharmacy in our
house. She raised us all by herself. I have a younger brother who studies in MIT.
His major is physics. I’m so proud of my brother. He never disappoints our
parents. Sometimes I feel he is my big brother. Ha! I’m an only person in my
family want to work in art industry. Because my family’s major are natural
sciences. My mother is big reason that I choose painting to my major. She
wanted to be a painter but my grandmother wanted to keep studying.
I’m an eldest daughter and it is hard to live as an
eldest child. I had been lost my way during an adolescent period. I gave my
parents a hard time. I don’t think I was good daughter. But my parents always
believed, supported and loved me. And they still give to me boundless love.
They are always being there for me. Although my brother and I live in U.S.A, we
are always connect together. I appreciate that I’m a daughter of my parents.
This is our family ring. Mine and my brother's. All my family member have this ring with their initial. I'm always wearing
this ring and think my family. It makes our bond strong.
